Adjunct Faculty

Dana Holley, M.S.W., LICSW

Dana Holley has over 30 years of experience providing community mental health services at Somerville Mental Health Clinic and McLean Hospital. A primary focus of her work has been on serious mental illness and the development of effective service models. She led the start up and operation of two innovative programs. At Somerville MHC she collaborated with clinic and DMH administrators on an early pilot of the PACT model in the state. At McLean she helped develop and manage Waverley Place, an experimental community support program composed of professional staff, peer counselors, and individuals with serious mental illness, that is member driven and recovery oriented. She has worked throughout her career with interdisciplinary teams, participating in the training and supervision of staff and students in varied disciplines. She has held appointments to the psychiatry departments of The Cambridge Hospital and McLean Hospital.

Ms. Holley received her BA from Wellesley College in 1967 and her M.S.W. from Simmons SSW in 1978. She has served on a number of Massachusetts NASW committees and on the board of directors. She received an Alumni Special Recognition Award from Simmons SSW in 1996. She returned to Simmons in 2011 as a faculty advisor in field education.
