Adjunct Faculty

Alexandra Eliot, M.S., Ph.D., LICSW

Alexandra Eliot has been affiliated with the Simmons community for many years, 10 of which were as a student, obtaining her master’s and doctoral degrees. She was head social worker at Children's Hospital in the Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine from 1972 to 1996, where she was also co-founder and co-director of the Outpatient Eating Disorders Clinic. She was appointed instructor in psychiatry at the Harvard Medical School and served on the Internal Review Board for six years. While at Children's, Dr. Eliot supervised many Simmons social work interns. She has taught courses in social welfare, research and clinical practice with specialties in adolescence and eating disorders. Since 1996 she has been a faculty advisor at Simmons SSW.
