Kathryn “Kate” Audette received her M.S.W. in 2008 from Salem State College and went on to graduate from the Suffolk University Initiative for Diversity and Civic Leadership Program in 2009. Kate is currently a Policy Analyst for Harbor Health Services, Inc. in Mattapan, MA and is also a Program Coordinator for a therapeutic activity program at Riverside Community Care. Prior to joining the management team at Harbor Health, Kate worked for the National Association of Social Workers MA Chapter as the Government Relations and Political Action Associate. Additionally, Kate’s social work background includes having interned at the Cambridge Area office of the Department of Social Services as a service coordinator for the Family Networks Lead Agency, The Cambridge Guidance Center and the Massachusetts General Hospital as a pediatric hematology, oncology social worker. In her spare time, Kate travels several times a year to Camp Sunshine, in Casco Maine, where she works with children with life threatening illness and their families. In 2010 Kate was recognized as one of 30 emerging social work leaders under age 30 in the United States.
