Shaheer Mustafa, M.S.W. LICSW

Shaheer Mustafa, LICSW, CCDP is the Area Clinical Manager for the Department of Children and Families Coastal Area Office and Associate at the Family Centered Services Project.  In his role with the Department, he is responsible for area office operations including clinical oversight of child protective services and permanency. At FCSP, he is responsible for inspiring, supporting and enhancing agencies' ability to develop family-centered philosophy and practice through training, organizational consultation, and ongoing coaching and technical assistance. Prior to this, he had been the Director of the Knight's Children's Center, a residential school and treatment program of the Home for Little Wanderers. Shaheer has significant management and clinical experience in both child welfare and behavioral health settings. His areas of interest include collaborative leadership, diversity and inclusion and strengths-based clinical practice. He received both his B.S. in Sociology and Master's in Clinical Social Work from Boston College and is certified as a Diversity Practitioner from Cornell's School of Industrial Labor Relations. Shaheer also holds a certificate in Non-Profit Management and Leadership form Boston University's School of Management where he also serves as a mentor for current students.
