Allison Horton, M.S.W., LCSW

Allison Horton, M.S.W., LCSW, is currently a social worker in a public school setting grades 3-8 on the South Shore. She case manages all the students in the specially designed program for the behaviorally or emotionally fragile students, ensuring they receive all the services and wrap-around care they need to be successful both at school and living in their own communities. As part of her job, Ms. Horton works with students individually and in group modalities. She received her BA in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska, and her MSW from Simmons College in 2009, after which she spent a year working for the Boston Emergency Services Team (BEST) providing community based emergency crisis evaluations for clients in South Boston. She has worked in school settings with children and adolescents and their families. She continues to do per diem crisis work on the South Shore.
