Student Life Resources

Student Life Resources

SOM students have unlimited access to everything Simmons College offers, from state-of-the-art athletic facilities to libraries, technology resources, cultural amenities, and health services. Here are some of the resources we offer:

Exercise/Relaxation Facilities

As an Simmons student, you have access to the sports and exercise facilities located at Simmons Residence Campus. Students are encouraged to explore the Lifelong Exercise and Activities Program (LEAP) opportunities offered on a semester basis. Workshops and classes include yoga, cardio-boxing, aerobics, tae kwon do, hip-hop, swing, jazz dance, and more.

Health Insurance

Massachusetts State law requires that all students enrolled for eight or more credits be covered by medical insurance. Students not already covered by a corporate or private health insurance plan may purchase a low-cost health insurance policy through Simmons College. Learn more about your health insurance options on our Health Center site »

Health Services

As an Simmons student, you have access to on-campus health services. A health center, counseling services, and wellness programs are offered on the Simmons residence campus. For more information, visit the Simmons Health Center site.

MBTA Pass Program

If you plan to use the public transportation system of Boston (the MBTA commonly known as the "T"), Simmons College offers a discounted T-pass program. T-pass order forms will be distributed through the SOM Program Office. Discounted T-passes are available for the fall (September-December) and spring (February-May) semesters. Your monthly passes will be distributed to your student mailbox in the Mockler Building.
