"Good Morning America" Features Simmons School of Management Faculty Member Debbie Kolb
On November 10, 2007 ABC “Good Morning America” featured Simmons School of Management professor Deborah Kolb as a key part of an interesting feature segment about women and negotiating.
The piece was about the culturally-induced hesitancy that many women have to negotiate the price of negotiable consumer goods such as cars or furniture. In the segment, Professor Deborah Kolb provided a crash course on negotiations to a stay-at-home mother of two, Beth Johnson. Beth then uses Professor Kolb’s coaching to negotiate at multiple stores for a bedroom set.
