Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune and other media intrigued by new Simmons survey.

The results of the recent SOM research study on women and work were featured in the January 28th Boston Globe. In “Flex for success: Opting to balance life and work is no longer a career-ender,” Mary Shapiro shared findings of the survey of 400 professional women at the 2006 Simmons Leadership Conference. CGO Insights #25 “Optioning In versus “Opting Out”: Women Using Flexible Work Arrangements for Career Success” challenges the idea that women are opting out of work to stay at home with their families. Rather, many professional women are negotiating flexible arrangements such as shortened hours and restricted travel.
