CGO starts research partnership with Merck
The Center for Gender in Organizations (CGO) has signed a contract with Merck & Co., Inc. to conduct research in their Latin American markets to assist Merck in its efforts to advance women into leadership roles in the company. Headed by SOM associate professor Sylvia Maxfield as the principal investigator, the research will be carried out at sites in Mexico, Brazil and Puerto Rico. Maxfield will be assisted by Josy Laza Gallagher, a Senior Consultant for the FutureWork Institute, CGO Director Patricia Deyton, and CGO Coordinator Sandy Sun. The opportunity came to the SOM through CGO’s membership in the National Council of Research on Women (NCRW).
