MBA Program, Prof. Gupta featured in Indian publication Times of America
Simmons SOM’s MBA Program was featured in the September 19 edition of Times of America in the article “Empowering Women.” The article focused on the SOM’s drive “to empower women to overcome the barriers that limit them from taking and retaining leadership positions.” Preetha Mahadevan ‘06, a Simmons MBA graduate from India said, “In my life, I had experienced difficulties in working with women. Simmons’ all-women program gave me a unique opportunity to learn how to positively interact with women.” Professor Vipin Gupta, Roslyn Solomon Jaffe Chair in Strategy, said, “We have seen a substantial rise in the number of Indian women joining Simmons attracted by its mission, premier reputation, corporate connections, [and] academic networks worldwide…Simmons faculty are at the frontier of culture, gender, family business, entrepreneurship, leadership and corporate social responsibility research.”
