Boston Business Journal asks Simmons SOM Dean "How to: Choose an MBA Program"
Choosing an MBA program can be a critical decision for a businesswoman. The Boston Business Journal’s “How To:” section featured the article, “Master the search: Look beyond brand for your MBA,” in the July 14-20, 2006 edition. The article urges that it is wise to examine motives and options when considering applying to an MBA program. Many MBA programs have developed areas of strength. Simmons School of Management (SOM) has done so by tailoring its program specifically for women. “Our research indicates a majority of women want to use the leadership skills they gain through an MBA program to do more than enhance their careers, to improve society as a whole,” says Simmons SOM Dean Deborah Merrill-Sands. Simmons SOM has also developed its program into full-time and part-time options.
