Prof. Blake-Beard receives award from Robert Toigo Foundation

On June 14, 2006, Simmons SOM associate professor Dr. Stacy Blake-Beard received the Thought Leadership Award from the Robert Toigo Foundation and its Annual Gala at the Waldorf=Astoria Hotel in New York City. Blake-Beard was recognized for her work with the organization on mentoring and diversity. The Robert Toigo Foundation is working to change the face of financial services by identifying and developing MBA students of color at the top 25 business schools in the country and partnering with top financial services firms (including JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Bank of America, Citigroup and Merrill Lynch). These fellows are partnered with established professionals in financial services in a formal mentoring effort.
