PINK taps Dean Merrill-Sands on the MBA gap
In the April/May issue of PINK magazine, “Adding Up the MBA Gap” asks, “Why do women make up about 50 percent of law and medical school classes but only 30 percent of those in MBA programs?” Simmons SOM Dean Deborah Merrill-Sands says, “Women like to make a difference in society, and they don’t see business as an avenue to do that. Also, business schools haven’t done much outreach to women.”
