CGO co-sponsors program for NCRW's Women Who Make a Difference awards dinner, March 7
The Center for Gender in Organizations (CGO) at Simmons School of Management, a Member Center of the National Council for Research on Women (NCRW), is a co-sponsor of NCRW’s upcoming Afternoon Program to precede their Annual Women Who Make a Difference Awards Dinner on March 7, 2006. The Afternoon Program is a chance for a more intimate conversation with this year’s honoree, Judge Navanethem Pillay of the International Criminal Court, who was formerly the Judge President of the UN International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and played a lead role in designating rape as a war crime. Judge Pillay was joined by Kathy Rodgers, President of Legal Momentum.
The conversation centered on these extraordinary women’s experiences with the potential - and the challenges - of using legal instruments, national and international, to advance women’s human rights.
