SOM receives award for Best Overall Workshop at USASBE/SBI conference
Simmons SOM’s Jill Kickul, Elizabeth J. McCandless Professor of Entrepreneurship, and Maureen Vasquez ‘05 (Coleman Foundation Fellow) received the Best Overall Workshop award at the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) and Small Business Institute (SBI) conference. The workshop was titled “Sharing the Teaching Wealth: A Clearinghouse for Best Teaching Practices,” and featured six colleges. Kickul and Vasquez presented “On Entrepreneurial “Live” Cases: A New Paradigm for Aspiring Entrepreneurs in the Classroom.” The conference was held January 12-15, 2006 in Tucson, AZ.
