Marie C. Wilson’s Sept. 21 article for Women’s Enews discussed the implications of ABC’s new prime-time drama, ‘Commander-In-Chief’ and how the U.S. may be ready for a female president. Simmons SOM Professor Joyce Fletcher was quoted on the need for ‘post-heroic’ leadership or shared leadership. “In her report on post-heroic leadership, Fletcher challenges the primacy of individual achievement and focuses on the value of collective learning and mutual influence.
