Dr. Deborah Kolb publicly named the first Deloitte Ellen Gabriel Chair in Women and Leadership
On June 21, Dr. Deborah Kolb was appointed the new Deloitte Ellen Gabriel Chair for Women and Leadership at a dinner held in her honor in Boston.
The CEO of Deloitte, Jim Quigley, said he was proud to have Deloitte’s name associated with Professor Kolb and that he was 100% committed to Simmons and to their partnership with Deloitte.
The Chair is funded by the Deloitte Foundation, individual gifts by Deloitte partners and directors, and from alumnae of the Executive Education Leading Edge program.
SOM Dean Merrill-Sands, Simmons College President Dan Cheever, Simmons College trustees, along with Deloitte Executive Education participants, alumnae, members of Ellen Gabriel’s family, and Dr. Kolb’s colleagues gathered for the public announcement of the appointment.
