CGO Interim Faculty Director Patricia Deyton speaks at Harvard Extension School commencement

Patricia Deyton, CGO Interim Faculty Director and Assistant Professor at Simmons School of Management, was the commencement speaker at the Harvard Extension School ceremonies on June 9, 2005, where 200 graduate certificates were awarded to students who had successfully completed the requirements for Special Studies in Administration and Management, Environmental Management, Publishing and Communications, and Technologies of Education.

Speaking in the historic Lowell Lecture Hall, Ms. Deyton addressed the graduates, families, and friends about the importance of knowing the ethical bedrock upon which our personal and collective values rest, and from that knowledge identifying and making a positive difference in society and one’s personal life through the development of a personal mission statement.

Ms. Deyton, who teaches two classes at the Harvard Extension School in the areas of Nonprofit Management and Gender, Leadership, and Management, was the first faculty member invited to speak at the graduate certificate commencement.
