The Society for Human Resource Management Names Dr. Deborah Kolb as a Top Selling Author
The Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management, has named Simmons Professor Deborah Kolb as a top selling author for Her Place at the Table: A Woman’s Guide to Negotiating Five Key Challenges to Leadership Success
Dr. Kolb is recognized internationally for her work on women and negotiations. She is also co-founder of the Center for Gender in Organizations at Simmons School of Management (SOM). Dr. Kolb has been on the faculty of Simmons SOM since 1977 and the Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation since 1987. She received her Ph.D. from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and is a national leader in the field of gender dynamics and women and leadership.
In her latest book, Her Place at the Table: A Woman’s Guide to Negotiating - Five Key Challenges to Leadership Success, Dr. Kolb offers a practical guide for women navigating their way to the top rungs of their organizations. Drawing on extensive interviews with women leaders, the book provides tips on avoiding common traps and outlines strategic moves to position you for success.
Dr. Kolb is teaching It Pays to Ask: Negotiating for Leadership Success on March 18-19, 2008 at Simmons School of Management.
