Wall Street Journal Article Features SOM Alumna Jennifer Christian Murtie and Professor Debbie Kolb
The Wall Street Journal article “Advice for Women on Developing a Leadership Style” includes the story of Simmons School of Management alumna Jennifer Christian Murtie. In the article Jennifer discusses the growth process she went through in becoming a leader in the workforce. Professor Debbie Kolb is also quoted within this article saying “it is important for young female managers to ask superiors to back them up when others second-guess them. Women should ask their bosses to be ready to explain why they were chosen and what skills they bring to the position. Many women don’t ask for this support.”
