MBA grads need to find a good "fit" with employers says Boston Herald
The October 2 Boston Herald article entitled “Small Cos., giants seek employee ‘fit’” featured Simmons SOM acting director of Career Services Lisa Toby. The article discussed MBA graduates going into the workforce seeking jobs on the basis of “whether you [job seekers] feel comfortable about that company and the company feels comfortable about you.” Toby mentioned that it’s important to “find a home.” She also added that the “Internet can help you discover more about yourself and the kind of job or firm that’s the best fit for you.”
Toby recommended two websites to MBA graduates:
* Vault.com, which provides inside looks at the companies they might be considering from the point of view of people who already work for them.
* Careerdiscovery.com, where you can sign up for a self-assessment test
