Prof. Blake-Beard, Mind Your Bizness featured in Boston Globe
“Girls with a head for business” featured Simmons SOM’s Mind Your Bizness event in the City & Region section of the Boston Globe on July 30. This was the 3rd annual conference for teen girls hosted by Teen Voices and Simmons SOM. About 50 girls attended the event. Simmons SOM Professor Stacy Blake-Beard led team-building exercises throughout the day. The goal of the program was to help girls learn to not be intimidated by the thought of owning a business when they grow up. The girls were encouraged to follow their passions and consider turning these passions into professional endeavors in the future.
