Simmons BA/MBA program featured in the Bay State Banner

The June 22 Bay State Banner article “College degrees aid women in ongoing career advancement,” featured Simmons School of Management’s combined BA/MBA program for women with partial college degrees who are considering reentering a degree program. The article says, “Women who did not complete college degrees are often still able to make good progress in their careers for a period of time due to their innate abilities, good workplace performance, and growing experience in their chosen careers.” After this point though, at times these women face a career plateau. The accelerated BA/MBA program provides women faster access to their professional credential, saving both money and time. Catherine Hurst, Undergraduate Management Program Director at Simmons, said, “Our target is a woman who has completed some college, but has no degree. She’s discouraged and overwhelmed at the prospect of having to complete not one but two degrees at this stage of her career. Our new program not only gives her an option; it provides a plan, and the infrastructure to reach that goal in a safe and supportive environment.”
