Conceison '03, Silverman Business Plan winner, featured in Somerville Journal

Michelle Conceison ‘03, owner of Market Monkeys, and winner of the first Silverman Business Plan Competition held by Simmons SOM, was featured in the January 26 edition of the Somerville Journal. Conceison, a Somerville, MA resident, won $10,000 toward funding her entrepreneurial integrated music marketing and management company. The Silverman Business Plan judges were impressed by “her passion for the music business, excellent plan execution, knowledge of the music industry and of digital technology and realistic vision and financial goals.”

The Silverman Business Plan Competition is the capstone event for the MBA Entrepreneurship Initiative. It will be a catalyst for Simmons SOM alumna working to start up entrepreneurial businesses for years to come.
