SOM Faculty Member Quoted in Article about Haggling and Bargaining

On June 27, 2008, Deborah Kolb, the Deloitte Ellen Gabriel Professor of Women and Leadership at the SOM, was quoted in a Miami CBS4.com article about haggling and bargaining. “I think you can haggle frankly anything...Consumer Reports did a survey and they found in appliances, electronics, jewelry, furniture, when people negotiate they had over 90% success rate." Kolb said. The article follows a CBS4.com investigative team as they haggle in big stores such as Best Buy. In all cases they walked away with significant savings or an additional service or feature.
