SOM Alumnae Featured in Boston Globe as "Portfolio Careerist"
On January 27, 2008, Simmons SOM Alumnae Stephanie Creary was featured in a Boston Globe article about a new kind of professional: The Portfolio Careerist, someone who has multiple careers often in different fields. “I never intended to do just one thing. I’ve always had multiple jobs for multiple interests. When you’re a kid, they always tell you to be well-rounded. Why all of a sudden when you become an adult you have to stop?” Creary said in an interview. SOM faculty member Stacy Blake-Beard, who is Creary’s mentor, is pictured with Creary in the article.
