"Inspiring Transformations", the latest publication featuring the findings of an external impact assessment of the CGIAR Women's Leadership Series
In recognition of their 10-year milestone for delivery of women's leadership courses, G&D commissioned in-depth research to find out whether there are long-term impacts for the women who have participated and, in turn, whether they've been able to affect the culture of their organizations. This report is the result of a six-month study by Dr. Gelaye Debebe, assistant professor of organizational sciences at The George Washington University and CGO affiliate at the Center for Gender in Organizations at the Simmons Graduate School of Management.
It features first-hand stories that personify the challenges women face within their organizations, ranging from out-right discrimination to subtle territorial games. You'll learn about the ideas and tools they have found most useful for overcoming such challenges.
The research has come up with a breakthrough framework for defining different types of women leaders and for describing the kinds of transformations they have had as a result of the leadership courses. This has far reaching implications for the way we view all women's leadership potential - from scientific laboratories to corporate headquarters worldwide.
