Bio
Hass served as Associate Dean during the 2005-2006 academic year, using her extensive faculty experience and strong administrative skills to focus on curriculum and faculty issues. Her research focus is predominantly on the current role of internal auditors and internal auditing globally. She is the recipient of a grant from the Research Foundation of the Institute of Internal Auditors funding this work.
Prior to her appointment as Associate Dean, Hass served as Chair of the Curriculum Committee for numerous years, and served as Co-Faculty Director of the MBA Program from 2004 - 2005. Hass has done extensive research in the areas of enterprise-wide risk and performance measures. She has used her experience and knowledge in the field of accounting to author the seventh-edition of the Accounting Principles Workbook. In addition to her 20-year teaching career at Simmons, Hass has also taught in several executive education programs including those at Simmons and the Hartford Graduate School.
Hass, a recipient of the Haskins and Sells Foundation Award, was a manager at Coopers & Lybrand prior to joining the Simmons School of Management faculty in 1981. Hass has been a board member of the Fenn School, The Boston Club, and Lasell College.
