SOM Receives Coleman Award for Entrepreneurship Excellence in Teaching Colleges

Simmons SOM received a three-year grant from the Coleman Foundation’s Entrepreneurship Excellence in Teaching Colleges program. The SOM will use the funding to deepen its institutional expertise in entrepreneurship, providing aspiring entrepreneurs with multiple opportunities to learn, apply and reflect on critical enterprising skills.

SOM faculty members are recognized for innovative research, awards, and grants:

  • Winner of two best paper awards at the United States Association for Small Business Entrepreneurship (USASBE) Conference (Professors Kickul, Wilson, and Marlino)
  • Winner of two grants from the Coleman Foundation for teaching cases on women of color entrepreneurs (Professors Moore and Betters-Reed)
  • Winner of two grants from Citizens Bank Foundation for Leading Women Entrepreneurs Series
