Simmons School of Management offers a Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship for MBAs, entrepreneurship courses and internships though our graduate and undergraduate business programs, a business plan competition, and networking events with the entrepreneurship community. Within all of our entrepreneurship programs, students have the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship through coursework, interaction with practitioners, and hands-on experience.
Our nationally recognized Certificate Program in Entrepreneurship provides Simmons School of Management students and alumnae and MBA graduates of AACSB International accredited business schools the opportunity to study firms under high growth firm conditions as they work in the field with an entrepreneurial CEO or engage in an intense investment period to build their own venture.
Year round, our Entrepreneurs-in-Residence infuse their expertise through a full calendar of special events. The Silverman Business Plan Competition and the Leading Women Entrepreneur Series provide our students with the opportunity to network across the College, with our active alumnae network and dynamic community of partners, friends and supporters.
I enrolled in the first entrepreneurship class because I needed the elective credits toward my MBA, and the course schedule worked well with my work and family commitments. I had no idea what I was about to experience. After the first class, I was hooked. I have always been entrepreneurial but during those first few hours the seed to do something was watered and took root. All the ideas that I thought about, talked about, and dreamed about finally seemed possible and even, realistic.
