 Sarah M. AlMahmoud

Sarah is a former employee of Kuwait Oil Company (2008-2014) and earned her Bachelor Degree in Mass Communication with a Minor in Public Administration from Kuwait University in 2008. Sarah continued her studies in the field of Library and Information Science (LIS) and earned her Master Degree in LIS from Kuwait University in 2013. She was awarded a scholarship from Kuwait University to study Ph.D. at Simmons College and to teach as an Assistant Professor in Kuwait University's LIS department upon her return to Kuwait.

During her Master's Degree, she conducted research on and developed projects about information literacy. One of her papers she wrote, "Information Literacy at Work: A Study of Information Management Behavior of Kuwaiti Engineers", has been accepted for publication as of July 2014 by The Electronic Library. In December 2013, Sarah was responsible for the creation of an information literacy instructional manual for the Department of LIS at Kuwait University.

Research Interests: Digitization, Children Knowledge in the Digital Age, Information Seeking Behavior, and Information Management.
