Shabnam has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Library and Information Science.
She also has seven years of professional experience, which spans from archival duties to public and technical services. During these years, she demonstrated her commitment to improve by pioneering challenging projects ranging from user satisfaction measurement to digital library design and implementation.
Shabnam has published three articles on service quality and user satisfaction.
She joined Simmons College's Ph.D. program in Library and Information Science in fall 2012.
Her research interests include information seeking behavior, digital library, knowledge sharing and knowledge management.
