Until August 2011 Sujei was the Head Librarian at the University of Puerto Rico Elementary School Library in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Prior to this position, she worked as Assistant Librarian in the Puerto Rican Collection at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus and as an Assistant Librarian at the Nilita Vientós-Gastón House-Library in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
She holds a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from the Graduate School of Information Sciences and Technologies of the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.
Sujei is currently the REFORMA Student Representative of the Progressive Librarians Guild at SLIS, Simmons College.
