C.A.G.S. (Post master's)

Application deadlines vary by program and by term. Be sure to allow time for official academic transcripts and official test scores to be sent before the deadline dates. For all programs, the applicant will be notified by email of the receipt of the completed application. All materials should be received, not postmarked, by the deadline date- if the date(s) indicated below falls on a week-end or a holiday, the deadline is the end of the next business day.If courses will not be completed by the application deadline date, please send a copy of your student grade report or request that your professor(s) indicate (on letterhead stationery) the grade you will likely earn. Send this information either via post or fax (617-521-3137)to the attention of the Office of Admission.

Applicants for regular admission are urged to file their applications and supporting documents well in advance of the term for which they are applying, in order to ensure proper consideration of their credentials. International students may apply only for September entry. U.S. students may begin in the fall, spring, or summer depending on the program(please see below). All materials should be received, not postmarked, by the deadline. Application deadlines for regular admission (but not for non-degree status )by program:

Health Care Administration Application Deadlines

The application deadline for the M.H.A. and C.A.G.S. is June 1 for September entry and November 1 for January entry.
The application deadline for the Health Care Management Certificate for SOM students and alumnae and MBA's from accredited-AACSB institutions, is November 1 for January entry (the only available semester of entry).
The application deadline for the M.H.A. and C.A.G.S. is March 1 for May entry.

Nursing Application Deadlines

The application deadline for the Direct Entry nursing program is Feb 1 for late June /early July entry.
The application deadline for the Master's in nursing program (M.S.)or C.A.G.S. is November 1 for January entry.
The application deadline for the Master's in nursing program (M.S.) and C.A.G.S. is June 1 for September entry.
The application deadline for the C.A.G.S. Family Health concentration is March 1 for May entry. (the only term of entry)
The application deadline for the Doctor in Nursing Practice(D.N.P) is November 1 for January entry and June 1 for September entry.
The application deadline for the dual degree master's program in Occupational Health with the Harvard School of Public Health is Feb 1 for September (the only term of entry).
The application deadline for the dual degree masters program in Parent-Child Health is Feb 1 for September entry and Nov. 1 for January entry.

Nutrition Application Deadlines

The application deadline for the D.P.D. or M.S. is March 1 for May and September entry.
The application deadline for the D.P.D. or M.S. is November 1 for January entry.
The application deadline for the C.S.N. is March 1 for September entry and November 1 for January entry. (no May entry is available)

The application deadline for Simmons BS-MS students(second semester juniors) is February 15 for September entry(the only term of entry)

Physical Therapy Application Deadlines

For the professional D.P.T. the deadline is December 1 for late June/early July entry. Applicants must apply using PTCAS(PT Centralized Application System). A Simmons (SHS) Supplemental Application is also required.Students may apply to Simmons with only two prerequisites outstanding at the time of application.

D.P.T. Bridge Program Application Deadlines

The application deadline is June 1 for Septemer entry.
The application deadline is November 1 for January entry.
The application deadline for is March 1 for May entry.

Special C.A.G.S.(post-master's) Application Deadlines

The application deadline for September(the only entry term) is June 1 for C.A.G.S. in Oncology.
The application deadline for the C.A.G.S. in Health Professions Education program for September entry is June 1
and for January entry the deadline is November 1.

Post-bachelor's Application Deadlines

The application deadline for the Certifcate in Sports Nutrition(CSN) for fall(September) is March 1 ;for spring(January) is November 1.

Enrollment Deposit Dates

The enrollment deposits must be received in the Office of Admission at the School of Health Sciences by the date designated in the letter of admisson. This date is not the postmark date. No extensions to the enrollment deposit date can be granted. Late or incomplete applicants will not be considered for the limited competitive merit scholarships. Official transcripts verifying proof of completion of all prerequisites and receipt of a bachelor's or master's degree will be required before enrollment in any program.

International students may apply only for September entry with exceptions of late June /early July entry for the Direct Entry Nursing and the D.P.T. programs. Due to more strict rules by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Bureau, the application process should commence at least six months in advance of the application deadline date. Please allow ample time for the pace of international postal systems, obtaining visa documents, arrival in the U.S., and transitioning to a new environment. International students will not be allowed to enroll if they arrive after the official start of the term. For more information, please see our international students section.
