Judy Beal, Associate Dean for Nursing programs, recently won the HHS Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship Grant, an award of over $90,000.

Patricia White, assistant professor of nursing, presented "Understanding Bereavement" to the NPACE Older Adult Conference in Hyannis in July 2003.

Janet Rico, assistant professor of nursing, contributed the nursing content to each chapter in the Dana Guide to the Brain, a publication for family practitioners and the lay public on diseases of the brain and spinal cord.

Nursing Instructor Karen Teeley recently was certified in holistic nursing.

Associate Dean for Nursing Judy Beal published a new model of nursing scholarship in the December issue of the Journal of Nursing Scholarship. She is testing this new model at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston and the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
