Lisa Sciacca Brown, Ph.D., R.D.

Dr. Brown's research interests are in the field of women and heart disease, as well as maternal and child health. Her doctoral dissertation is titled "Diet Quality and Risk of Premature Heart Disease in Women". Dr. Brown presented some of her research at the American Heart Association Epidemiology conference in Florida in 2009. Dr. Brown completed her dietetic internship at Simmons College. She worked as a research dietitian at Natick Labs in the Combat Feeding Division, as well as a Long Term Care dietitian for Kindred Healthcare, and a covering clinical dietitian at Milton Hospital in Milton, MA. Additionally, she held the position of Senior nutritionist for the North Suburban Women's, Infants and Children Nutrition Program. In addition to teaching, Dr. Brown is the consultant nutritionist for the Metro West YMCA.
