A message from the Director of Public Safety
Simmons College, as a community of scholars, depends upon mutual trust
among its students, faculty, and staff; fundamental respect for their rights, dignity,
and worth; and their full commitment to the highest level of quality and integrity
in academic work. These expectations are embodied in Simmons's Policy on
Nondiscrimination, its Honor Code of Responsibility, its General Standards of
Conduct, and its Harassment Policy.
At Simmons, the safety of our students, faculty, and staff is always at the top of
our agenda. We work hard to provide a secure campus, and we make available
information and resources to members of the campus community to advise and
educate them on making and keeping the environment safe. All members of the
Simmons community should take an active role in their own security. In that regard
the following information is provided to you as part of the College's commitment
to the safety and security of everyone on campus, and in compliance with the
Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
