Conference on children with "medically complex" illnesses comes to Simmons
The unique new CarePoints program, housed at the Simmons College School of Health Sciences and coordinated jointly with Wheelock College, is an attempt to promote parent-professional partnerships to enhance the quality of life for children with complex, sometimes life-threatening conditions.

SHS Dean in the News
SHS Dean gerald koocher recently presented three papers at the recent American Psychological Association meetings in Toronto: "Ethical issues at the College Counseling Center: Administration relations"; "Questionable Fads and Practices in 20th Century Psychology"; and "Top 10 Ethical failures by Psychologists in Management Consulting." He was also recently invited by The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to serve on one of its Data and Safety Monitoring Boards that will help ensure patient safety and the quality of NIMH-sponsored trials.

U.S. News & World Report ranks Simmons D.P.T. program in Top 25 nationwide
The Program in Physical Therapy was ranked in the top 25 nationwide by US News and World Reports. US News based its rankings on two broad types of data-expert opinion about program quality and statistical indicators that describe the strength of a school's faculty, its research, and the performance of students both as they enter and leave.
