Poet Breaks Through to National Acclaim
Here is a link to the recent Boston Globe about Simmons College English Professor Afaa Michael Weaver, who has received national acclaim from critics and peers for his poetry.

It has been a busy year for Weaver, who also is co-founder of Simmons's Zora Neale Hurston Literary Center. A Pulitzer Prize finalist, Weaver this fall published a collection of poetry titled "The Plum Flower Dance," and was the cover story for the December issue of Poets & Writers magazine. And he has accepted an invitation from the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center at Boston University to contribute his papers and other personal matters to its archival collection.
