BOSTON (February 4, 2008) — The Simmons College Chorale will perform with the New England Philharmonic in the concert, "From Mozart to the Middle East," on Feb. 23, 8:00 p.m., at the Tsai Performance Center, 685 Commonwealth Avenue, in Boston.
The concert includes a chorale performance, featuring President Susan C. Scrimshaw, of Gustav Holst's "Choral Hymns from the Rig Veda, Group II." Tickets are $25 for general admission and $15 for students with a college ID. For more information, visit www.nephilharmonic.org.
Since 1997, the New England Philharmonic has been the orchestra-in-residence at Simmons College. The orchestra holds weekly and open rehearsals on campus, offers workshops and master classes, and collaborates with the Simmons College Chorale.
Tsai Performance Center is wheelchair accessible and convenient by public transportation. Parking is available behind the Tsai Performance Center, at the 240 Bay State Road lot.
