President Susan Scrimshaw was quoted in a Sept. 23 Boston Sunday Globe feature about Regis College going coed. She spoke about the important role women's colleges play.

Professor Emerita of Social Work Sophie Freud was the subject of a Boston Metro feature story Sept. 20, which focused on her new book, Living in the Shadow of the Freud Family. She also was interviewed for a Sept. 25 Grand Rapids Press (Mich.) article, which publicized two book tour appearances she would be making in Grand Rapids.

Simmons School of Management Visiting Professor of Entrepreneurship Margaret Heffernan was interviewed in a CTW (Content That Works) Features article Sept. 1 about her new book, How She Does It: How Women Entrepreneurs are Changing the Rules of Business Success. CTW is the leading provider of integrated online and print special interest content for more than 200 newspapers in the United States and Canada, which reach more than 12 million households.

Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science alumna Barbara Stewart, who graduated in 1964, was featured in a CBS Sunday Morning news magazine segment Sept. 23, for her role as a "kazoo virtuoso."  Click here, to access the transcript.

Alumna Ruth Finley, founder and publisher of the Fashion Calendar, was profiled in a Sept. 8 New York Times article. The Fashion Calendar is considered the authoritative resource of events in the fashion design industry. Finley is a member of the Class of 1941.

The Boston Globe, the Boston Herald, and the Lowell Sun paid tribute to Master of Communications Management program
alumnus and WBZ Radio talk show host Paul Sullivan, who died Sept. 9. Sullivan, who graduated in 1996 and is a well-known radio personality throughout the Commonwealth, had been a regular contributor to the Lowell Sun.

Nutrition Instructor Karlyn Grimes was a contributor to an "Ask the Experts" column in the September issue of Dance Teacher magazine.
