Simmons College

Sarah Neill assumed the role of dean for student life in June 2009, having served as the associate dean of student life for eleven years.  As associate dean, she played a leading role in matters pertaining to student health and wellness across the College and has presented at regional and national conferences on related topics.  Prior to her tenure at Simmons, Sarah served an assistant dean at Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., and has additional student affairs experience working at Smith College and Lesley and Bentley universities.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, and a master's degree in education from Harvard University.  For the past two years, Sarah has chaired the New England Associate Student Affairs Think Tank, comprised of deans from a range of colleges and universities from the New England region.  She also is the recipient of the Award for Professional Excellence from the Massachusetts Association for Women in Education (2004).
