Simmons College

Stefan Krug was appointed dean of the Simmons School of Social Work in January 2007. He is a professor at the school and previously served as associate dean, doctoral program director, and chair of the clinical practice sequence. His scholarly interests include professional ethics, qualitative research, and program evaluation. Prior to Simmons, he worked as a clinician in a variety of community mental health settings, and as a member of the teaching faculty at the Boston Family Institute. Additionally, he is a former national child welfare fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. He received a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an M.S.W. and Ph.D. from the Simmons School of Social Work.
