We are looking forward to seeing you at Family Orientation, Monday June 21 and/or Tuesday, June 22 or Thursday, June 24 and/or Friday, June 25 and look forward to partnering with you as parents and family members to help your daughter have a successful first year at Simmons.
Please read below for some important information.
- If you are driving, you will enter the garage off of Avenue Louis Pasteur. Please pull up to the right-hand side gate and obtain a parking ticket. Please make sure to get a parking exit voucher from Orientation staff at Check-In. Complete driving and public transportation directions are available online.
- Check-in is between 9:15 and 10:00 a.m. on Monday morning and between 8:30 and 9:l5 on Tuesday. More information on Family Orientation can be found online. Family Orientation will end around 12:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. We will provide you with a list of suggestions for places in Boston for Monday afternoon while your student is in her Orientation sessions.
- While we cannot offer housing for families during Orientation, we have a list of area hotels on our website.

Welcome to the Simmons family! We are delighted that your student has decided to attend the College and join the community this year. We know that you will continue to play an important role in your student's education, and we are committed to providing you with the resources and information you need to support her endeavors.
Fall Orientation
Families are invited to join their student on the first day of Fall Orientation, Sunday, September 4, 2011. Following move-in and/or the Commuter Student Welcome, there will be an all-college welcome at 11:45 a.m. followed by a luncheon on the Residence Campus Quad.
Parents are welcome to stay at Simmons until 3:00 p.m., when the students go to their Orientation Group meetings and continue on with the rest of their Orientation activities.
Save the Date: Family Weekend - Friday, October 21, 2011- Sunday, October 23, 2011
Family Weekend is an annual event that occurs each October, and provides Simmons students an opportunity to share their experiences on campus with their families and friends. Family Weekend 2010 will take place on Friday, October 21, 2011- Sunday, October 23, 2011.
