The Professional Simmons Residence Life staff ("prostaff") is composed of full time and part time staff. These members, along with the Assistant Director and the Director of Residence Life, contribute to the development of our student population both in and out of the classroom.

Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) - Position Filled
The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) contributes to the development of our student population through a variety of experiences including developing social, educational and leadership initiatives. The position supervises Head RA staff positions, coordinates training, oversees the RA selection process and assists with other administrative responsibilities associated with Residence Life and housing administration. This 12-month live-in position supervises a building of 6 RAs and serves on the RD-on-Duty rotation.
Bachelor's degree with 2 years post baccalaureate experience in residence life/housing or student affairs. Ability to interact effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
Masters degree in Student Personnel, Counseling, Higher Education, or related field with 2 years experience in residence life/housing strongly preferred. Knowledge of student development theory and issues affecting undergraduate students.
Residence Director Responsibilities:
- Supervises 6 Resident Advisors
- Oversees one residence facility (~200 students)
- Advises a Residence Hall Council
- Maintains 35 office hours per week
- Participates in on-call duty rotation
