In January, 2012 the IRS announced that the standard mileage for use of a personal vehicle (also vans, pickups or panel trucks) remain at 55.5 cents per mile for business miles driven, plus highway tolls and parking fees. No other automobile related expenses will be reimbursed. The cost of the use of a personal car should not exceed the cost of air or rail travel. Receipts for tolls and parking are required.
