Recently, Simmons School of Management and the Center for Research in Policy and Health Management hosted an event titled: Health Disparities – Reflections on the nature of disparities and what hospitals can do to respond. This forum is the fourth in a series of discussions hosted jointly. Dean Cathy Minehan introduced the guest speakers and noted the importance of this topic. She explained how the Simmons School of Management created a health care specific MBA program to help foster professional growth for our health care leaders of the future. The dialogue between Lenny Lopez, MD, MDiv, MPH and Joel S. Weissman, PhD was thought provoking and spurred many questions from the standing-room only audience.
