October 25, 2016

Simmons School of Library and Information Science Alumni Association Board announces the Call for Nominations for the 2016-2017 Alumni Achievement Awards

The Simmons College SLIS Alumni Association Board of Directors is soliciting nominations of Simmons College SLIS graduates for the 2016-2017 Alumni Achievement Awards.

The Simmons SLIS Alumni Achievement Awards are presented annually at the Alumni Day event to Simmons SLIS graduates (including graduates of the CHL program, now part of SLIS) who have demonstrated significant achievement in the library and information professions and/ or children’s literature. The SLIS Alumni Board will present two awards, one for an MS graduate in the library and information professions, and/or in children’s literature. The award winners will demonstrate excellence in a way that exceeds the boundaries of their current positions by achieving influence as an outstanding role model for library and information professionals and the children’s literature academic field.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to share your work with others or to honor a colleague in their field. The award winners will be recognized at the SLIS Alumni Day Celebration on April 20, 2017 (tentatively).

Submission Deadline: December 1, 2016.
