Beyond the Stacks

Episode 1: Interview With A User Experience Researcher At Mozilla

Beyond the Stacks is a new interview podcast produced in part by Simmons SLIS, in which librarians, archivists, and information science professionals talk about the coolest experiences of their careers, and the unexpected ways that one can use a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science.

Today was the debut of the premiere episode, an interview with Gemma Petrie, a User Experience Researcher at Mozilla. She talks about the pathway from librarianship education to UX research, what it’s like to work in the field, and the feeling you get when you travel to another country for a research visit in a stranger’s household.
