The Communications & Public Affairs (CPA) Office is focused on raising awareness of Simmons at the federal, state and local levels. The CPA Office is the primary resource for reporters, editors, producers, researchers, and other public relations and government professionals seeking information about expert faculty sources, research, activities, and events related to Simmons.

Jeremy Solomon

Jeremy Solomon, Associate VP for Communications & Public Affairs

Solomon leads the College’s government and media relations efforts, serving as the primary spokesperson for all media and public affairs inquiries. He also plays a role in executive communications and strategic planning for several priority College-wide initiatives. Solomon holds a Master in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont.


Liz Sullivan

Liz Sullivan, Public Relations Manager

Sullivan acts as a liaison between the College and the media, and works to enhance the College’s external visibility around Simmons's signature programs and strengths. She actively promotes Simmons’ thought leadership and achievements by promoting stories for media placement. She has 25 years of experience in the media relations realm and holds a BS in Journalism from Suffolk University.


Sasha Goodfriend

Sasha Goodfriend, Government Relations Coordinator

Goodfriend connects the College to federal, state and local government, fostering relationships with elected and appointed officials through strategic communications and coordinated campus visits. She is co-president of the Massachusetts National Organization for Women and vice chair of the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth. Goodfriend holds an MA in Public Policy from Simmons and a BA in International Relations from Boston University.
